Got to work this morning and all was gloomy.
The light was on but our recently purchased energy saving lightbulb (burns for 10,000 hours) emitted less light than a small candle.

We only replaced it before Christmas.

But, I only changed the one at Christmas because the one before that lasted only about 3 months.
And the one before that.

I asked my friends about their experiences.
The same.
Light bulbs advertised to last 10,000 hours last less than 1.000.

Inspecting the bulbs, I believe them to carry a much larger 'carbon footprint' than the old bulbs.

Yes, they may be an efficent use of electricity (!).
But, the money saved on electric bills, is NOT covering the cost of the bulbs (usually 7/8 times the old price).

Another Con just to make money.

Dont you just love Capatilism ??

What a load of rubbish.

The Government believe us to be as thick as shit.
They must do to come up with that figure.

I read a report that our army fired TWO missiles to kill a sniper last week.
Cost of the missiles £150,000 for the two.

Alistair Darling had a huge problem with his first Budget.
How could he balance the books and hide the true cost of the War(s) ?
He couldn't.

I despair of this country and the fact I gave the Labour Party 15 years of my life.

I cant ever vote Tory.
Everyone else would be a wasted vote.
The next election I wont be bothering.

Anyone have a Chandelier that needs cleaning or repairing in the London area ?

Well, dont use this man, Mike Hills, of South London.
He operates out of Glory Chandeliers.

He took over £250 off a friend of mine and did nothing.
My friend didnt even get the chandelier back.

I have just been thinking about my day.
And what a day it has been.

A friend of ours turned up early at work, this morning.
He did nothing but snipe behind peoples backs and was insulting in front of customers.
Awful.

I neither pointed out his behaviour nor did I challenge him.
I WILL if it happens again.

In the afternoon, a friend appeared.
A friend I bid farewell to as she left for India, the night before !!!
So happy I was she had not gone.

Then later, in the evening, my flatmate started screaming at me.
Nothing strange in that.
I do encourage people to express themselves.

What was not nice was the atmosphere changed in the room seconds before he raged.
The light became visibly darker.

I have told him I dont want to talk to him till tomorrow.
I have supported him through many things this last 15 months.
I dont think I want to anymore.

As I predicted, last year, March 10 will be the day the USA strike against Iran.

I hope I am wrong.

Not been able to get online these last few days because of computer problems.
